Refund and Returns Policy
GM Energy (Home EV Chargers) — Refunding & Returns
According to the GM Energy Terms & Conditions (GM Envolve’s home energy division):
Cancellations before shipping
- You can cancel at any time before shipment by contacting GM Energy at (833) 64-POWER.
- If you’ve already paid, you’re entitled to a full refund (minus any non-refundable installation deposit from a third party).
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 30 days of cancellation acceptance
Returns after delivery
- Must initiate return within 14 days of delivery.
- Items must be undamaged, in original, unopened packaging, new, and resalable with all manuals and hardware.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable, and you’ll be responsible for them.
- Returns incur a 15% restocking fee.
- Once the return is inspected and approved, the refund (minus the restocking fee) is issued to your card within 30 days of receipt
Refunds on financed items
If the product was financed through GM Financial, refunds are sent directly to GM Financial, but the 15% restocking fee still applies
Installation Deposits
Non-refundable deposits paid to third-party installers aren’t returned

GM’s official return policy for parts and accessories states:
- Items must be returned to the selling dealership within 30 days of receipt.
- They must be new, unused, and in their original packaging with all components.
- **Batteries, EV chargers, and electrical parts are not returnable, except charging adapters (which can be returned within 30 days).
- All returns are subject to inspection, and the dealership may reject items that are opened, used, or otherwise non-compliant
⚠️ GM Company Store (Branded Merchandise)
Just in case you’re referring to branded items (e.g., GM apparel/accessories sold on the GM Company Store):
- Returns and exchanges accepted within 60 days of purchase.
- Items must be unused and in original condition.
- Proof of purchase required
